0:01 I've been working here about a month now for last 11, almost 12 years.
0:06 I actually started in the transportation industry, so totally different industry from technology.
0:11 More of a big business kind of feel, you know, from where I came before.
0:14 This is very small, very hometown, very relationship-based business.
0:17 I think with a lot of other companies, it's hard for them for you to feel valued as an employee.
0:22 It's a lot easier with a small company.
0:24 In previous positions, I've been in positions where I couldn't get the data that I needed
0:29 to do my job.
0:30 When I come to TimbukTech, it's like data overload.
0:34 I started as a Level 1 help desk technician, but as I went forward, I was constantly learning
0:39 and trying to understand what I was working on.
0:42 People that are more experienced here are willing to help you learn.
0:46 You know, if there's questions that I need answers to to, you know, finish some work,
0:52 they're the first ones like, hey, can we help?
0:54 We all help each other, we have each other's backs.
0:56 That's where I came from.
0:57 You didn't care so much about the people, but here, we truly do care.
1:03 Opportunities for advancements are basically intense.
1:07 We give the technicians re-rain on the direction they want to go as far as achieving different
1:11 certifications.
1:12 We pay for all those things in advance in an attempt for each person to be able to better
1:17 themselves.
1:18 There's monetary incentives to that as well.
1:20 Definitely a big perk of the job.
1:21 We also know our customers, a lot of other organizations.
1:26 I don't think really know their customers, they're just trying to get the job done, and
1:30 we kind of really work hard at developing those relationships, and that really makes
1:35 our job fun.
1:37 There's a company that we work with that regularly has dogs running around the office.
1:41 We know the dog's names, and so it's really kind of interesting to be the IT department
1:48 for a bunch of different companies, but feel like a part of their company.
1:52 When you solve a customer's problem, it's definitely a rewarding feeling, and a lot
1:57 of cases that really frustrate it, and they don't know what to do.
2:00 In a way, you kind of feel like a hero, I mean, try not to come off that way or feel
2:05 like that, but deep down, you're like, I did a good job.
2:09 If a person is interested in working here, be prepared to learn.
2:13 If you like learning, if you like solving problems, it's definitely a job that you might
2:18 want.
2:19 It's a place to start a career, and continue your career.
2:23 There's a lot of opportunities for growth through the company.
2:26 TimbukTech has been a great place to work.
2:29 There's no better place to work than TimbukTech.
